FUNDING
NATIONAL DISABILITY INSURANCE SCHEME (NDIS)
OKAY Therapy can provide services to NDIS participants with either a ‘Self Managed Plan’ or a ‘Plan Managed Plan’. We will request that you provide us with a copy of your full NDIS plan during the intake process to ensure you have the type of plan we can provide supports through. We will also gather information on your goals and appropriate funding domain, before a service agreement is then completed with your Therapist when commencing services.

MEDICARE
Chronic Disease Management Plan
Item number. 10958
This plan is prescribed by a GP or Paediatrician to individuals with a chronic medical condition. This means the condition has been present for a minimum of 6 months or is likely to be considered a terminal condition. The chronic disease management plan provides 5 allied health sessions per calendar year.
Helping Children with Autism –
clinic or community session
Item number: 82025
This plan provides 10 sessions with an Allied Health professional after a diagnosis of Autism Spectrum Disorder or Pervasive Developmental Disorder. If required, the Allied Health professional can request an additional 10 sessions from the referring doctor. You will need to attend a review with this doctor who will determine if your child is eligible for the further 10 sessions. The plan must be put in place by your GP or Paediatrician prior to your child turning 13 years of age with all sessions occurring prior to your child turning 15 years of age.
Follow up Allied Health Services for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander descent
Item number: 81330
This plan is prescribed by a GP or Paediatrician and allows 5 additional individual Allied Health Services per calendar year. It is available for individuals of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander descent.

Private Therapy Sessions
Privately funded Occupational Therapy and Speech Pathology supports are also offered to individuals from childhood to older adults at OKAY Therapy. Please contact us to discuss your therapy goals and we can provide a quote based on your needs.
Private Health Insurance
Occupational Therapy and Speech Pathology services may be covered by your private health cover. You will need to speak directly with your private health insurance agency to determine if you are eligible for a rebate on Occupational Therapy or Speech Pathology services.
Please note, you are unable to claim both the medicare rebate and private health insurance rebate for the same therapy session.
